Kalan's Visit to Phoenix

It was so nice to have Kalan come to visit for 2 weeks this summer. We had so much fun together. Let me share some of the places we went and the fun things we did.

Kalan learned how to blow water out of the noodle and she loved showing this to Papa. Good aim Kalan !

Meme and Kalan enjoy relaxing in the pool!
Enjoying the play area at San Tan Outdoor Mall.
We even packed a picnic lunc :)

Kalan loved the beanies. Mommy and Kalan can hardly wait to get the Furry Families back home so they can play with them together.

The Zoo !!

It was such a hot day we took a break from learning about all the animals to eat a nice cold purple snow cone. Yummy.

A beautiful picture at the Zoo. And a chance to cool our feet.

Some days we just stayed home. We made pink play doe, Pink ice cream cupcakes, and made necklaces.
Kalan and Tinkerbell became such good friends.
One day Kalan and I spent the day in our pajamas and made pajamas all day. She loved helping me place the pins in the material.

Pajama Day !!

Kalan loves to help. She would help cook dinner every night. And always clean up her dishes.

Kalan shucking the corn.
She said:
"Shucking is hard work!!!"
Papa and Kalan cooking breakfast together. Kalan is good at breaking the eggs.

Kalan taking Tinkerbell for a walk in our neighborhood.

Kalan with our kids that did not leave home. Mennace (17), Lucky(8), Tinkerbell (1). Yes, Tink is giving Kalan a kiss. hehe.
Kalan was so excited to come to see us and stay at our house the only thing she was nervous about was the cactus. This picture was taken on the last day. Even though she is smiling she still looks like she thinks it might jump out and grab her.

Kalan loved all the flowers and the palm trees, she found seeds on the small palm tree in the back yard and began picking them to take home so that she could grow a palm tree in her yard in Texas.

It was a wonderful 2 weeks.

James' Mom came to Phoenix for a visit

James' Mom came to Phoenix to visit us and we wanted to show her some of the beauty of the desert. I thought you might enjoy looking at God's handiwork also.

Our visit to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. The tempiture was only 101 on the day were there. But it was beautiful.

Our trip to the Desert Botanical Garden.
And the Chihuly exhibit.

It was 102 on the day we went to the Desert Botanical Garden.

This was the strangest plant it is called
a Madigascar Palm. The trunk looks like
a cactus and the top looks like a palm.

The Chilhuly Exibit.
This was a blown glass exibit that is displayed in the cactus and lit up after dark.

The 'Sun' and the moon coming
up as the sun sets on a hot day.

We spent a day on Canyon Lake. The view was magnificent.

Just relaxing in the neighborhood before she left. We had a wonderful visit. I hope you enjoyed it too.
